The YUQ Studios co-owners, Bohenne and Calla, have years of experience in multimedia photography, graphic design, videography, tech design and more. Such was the case when YUQ Studios worked with local drag queen Yvette Getarian to realize her dream photo vision —  A Chocolate Bunny-themed photo spread.

“When I commissioned YUQ Studios to help me create a photo spread to celebrate my birthday, I had one thing on my mind: myself as a chocolate bunny, dressed in latex. I had the outfit and accessories. I had the concept. But I had no idea where I wanted to take it from there,”  Yvette went on to say.


“Ultimately, I presented this to Bohenne, as the principal photographer, and she immediately got to work helping me form what this project would end up becoming. She provided me with countless ideas, physical references and even riffed with me about silly tangential ideas I had for how to promote the spread once released. Bohenne guided me on poses while shooting, in a way that allowed me to envision the end result including CG elements right there in real time. All of this, on top of creating a warm and welcoming environment with lively music and provided snacks, Bohenne truly went above and beyond to elevate my time that I booked with the studio. As soon as post-production began on the spread, Bohenne was providing me real time feedback, edits, and suggestions for the direction to take the photos with editing, lighting, and CG effects. I felt as though I was getting an inside look as to how the sausage is made. I felt as though YUQ Studios was working with me, not just for me. The detailed approach and determination to flesh out my silly ideas into something beautiful made me feel like the talk of the town on my birthday when this spread went live. I felt like YUQ Studios was able to take my bare bones ideas and spin them into gold.”
